The A-line shape has a drop waist and fully gathered skirt.
An optional modern squared collar to break any frilly excess.
The dress is fully lined, the skirt lining is optional.

High waist and fully gathered skirt.
Only the bodice is lined.
The skirt has wide margins to allow optional French seams (French seams instructions are included).
Both versions have new special puffy sleeves with sleeve stay and easy gathered details.
