As this is the first time with Purperita pattens & this pattern I decided to stick with the instructions & make this reversible. I wanted to use the piece of jungle fabric I had had for a while. I split top from bottoms as fabric not big enough to cut as one piece. Sewed velvet ribbon outside to cover join up. Now looks like a design feature. I should have made inside (penguin fabric) as a one piece. Don’t know why I didn’t! An easy make but I’m a little disappointed in how they turned out as they are a little bulky. Perhaps due to one of the fabric being French Terry. I sewed main garment with Maraflex & straight stitch as serger didn’t sew curved top straps very well. Would make again but will try not reversible.
    Reply from Annalisa Puperita:
For all reversible garments: The use of the serger makes the garments very heavy due to the unnecessary seam finishing. Only the conventional machine can be precise on small curves. The heavier the fabric, the heavier the garment. Your romper is adorable!! 💖

This project is so fast and fun! It will be made many times as my grand baby grows. The instructions are very well written. Being fully lined, the finished product is very nice looking and warm. I love the layers feature for printing the pattern. I made one change…. I put an invisible zipper in the inner leg to make diaper changing easy. I started the zipper one inch from the ankle ribbing. Can’t wait to sew more!

I love that all the seams are hidden in this pattern. So quick to cut out and sew too. Makes a perfect gift.
